My Story

Throughout my life, I have been guided by three core values:

  • Human beings are the sum of their experiences.

  • Face everything with tolerance, patience, and kindness.

  • We do the best we can in life with the skills and knowledge we have currently.

In counseling with clients, I believe that we all have our stories to tell and that we can all learn something from others.  I am deeply interested in those stories, but also interested in helping my clients learn from the past while building the road to the future.  I want to walk along that road with each client and help them learn and build skills in order to walk into a more healthy and fulfilling life for themselves.  It is important to me that I help to create a calm, reassuring, and compassionate environment in which to explore all aspects of life and reality with my clients.

I have a Masters degree in Human Services and Counseling and have worked with all ages of people from children to older adults.  I have worked with anxiety issues, hoarding/clutter problems, life stressors, addiction, aging and end of life issues, grief and loss, communication and boundary problems, and family stressors.  I have also worked with individuals facing struggles due to developmental issues. I have provided education in group settings and family counseling settings to help clients move forward and gain skills to help deal with stress, triggers, and other life issues through building knowledge, communication, and healthy boundaries.

Currently, I work with clients dealing with anxiety issues, life stressors, grief and loss, communication issues, boundary issues, addiction issues, and problems with hoarding and decluttering life and personal spaces.  We are all dealing with things in our lives and seeking help is the first step to a better tomorrow. My goal is to provide you with a safe and welcoming space to discuss what is on your mind and find solutions within yourself to any issue you are currently facing while providing you the tools to achieve your goals.

In my personal life, I love to garden and build habitats for wildlife, do art/sewing/crafting using recycled materials, and spend time with my family and friends.  It is important to me to always have that self-care time and find joy in life and the things around me.

I would love to hear your story and help you find healing next steps in your journey so you can write your next chapters in a more joyful, relaxed, and confident way.  If you would like to work more with me, please click on “request an appointment” and let’s get started.  I am looking forward to meeting you!
