My Story
So much of the world and our day to day lives are impacted by the noise, stress, chaos, and emotion that can be overwhelming for most of us. It is hard to just find a peaceful silence to sit with your thoughts and figure out next steps let alone what is being felt through all of it. Trauma is happening all around us as we move through our lives, and sometimes the anxiety and panic that brings on can feel overwhelming and very heavy. Talking through the intrusive thoughts or finding the connections between behaviors, thoughts, and feelings can sometimes feel very unreachable. It is possible to find a calm place to release it all.
Anxiety, depression, OCD, grief/loss, and trauma require a space that allows fully collaborative, supportive, and guided support to navigate challenges, build insight and coping skills, and move toward meaningful goals that align with values, strengths, and unique needs. It is important in that a person feel included, heard, and seen by another human.
We have all been through different things in our lives and have felt overwhelmed or anxious, and it is so important to not feel all alone in those places. Trauma happens to everyone to some degree in life and deserves the space, kindness, and compassion to allow healing. It is the journey, not the end, that is the most important part of the story.
